The 2017 NASCAR season continues through Big Ten country this weekend with the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway, the 15th of 36 races this season.

When does the FireKeepers Casino 400 start?

The race in Michigan is expected to start at approximately 3:18 p.m. ET.

How can I watch this race online?

Fox Sports 1 will televise Sunday’s race beginning at 3 p.m., with Mike Joy calling the action alongside analysts Darrell Waltrip, Jeff Gordon, and Larry McReynolds. The broadcast will also feature pit reporters Jamie Little, Chris Neville, and Matt Yocum.

The telecast can be streamed online through Fox Sports Go.

Where is this race held?

The FireKeepers Casino 400 is held at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan, roughly 75 miles east of Detroit.

This is the first of two races this season at this track. NASCAR will return here on Aug. 13 for the Pure Michigan 400. Joey Logano won the FireKeepers Casino 400 in 2016.

“There is no telling what we’ll see this week at Michigan. We saw speeds through turn 1 of over 200 mph at Pocono, but they will be more than 210 mph at Michigan. The cars will be flying there,” said Fox analyst Michael Waltrip. “Plus the track is wide, so we’ll see two- and three-wide racing all day long.”

Quotable

Kyle Larson has one victory and five second-place finishes in 2017, and ranks second in Monster Energy Cup points entering this weekend. Larson won the Pure Michigan 400 last year at Michigan International Speedway. He won the pole position Sunday thanks to a 202-mph lap in qualifying on Friday.

“We talk about the greatness of Jimmie Johnson,” Fox analyst Jeff Gordon said this week. “Kyle Larson is the next Jimmie Johnson of NASCAR. Absolutely.”
