Dover NASCAR weather forecast: Could rain impact a second straight race?

The 2017 NASCAR season has been relatively dry, but could rain cause problems in Dover as it did the week before for the Coca-Cola 600?

Monster Mile weather forecast at Dover International Speedway

The race weekend at the Monster Mile at Dover International Speedway starts off dry. Look for mostly sunny skies both Friday and Saturday and temperatures around 80 degrees for both days. Then things get a little complicated.

Odds of racing both the Camping World Truck Series -Bar Harbor 200 and the Xfinity OneMain Financial 200 are 100 percent.

Rain has been in the weather forecast for Sunday all week. The good news is as we get closer to race day, the threat of rain appears to get less and less. It’s not looking like a washout, but a chance of a scattered shower in the afternoon is possible. Temperatures Sunday will be like they were Friday and Saturday — near 80 — but clouds will increase and so will the chance of a passing shower or two.

Odds of racing both the AAA 400 Drive for Autism are 70 to 80 percent.
