Kyle Larson will try for his second consecutive victory on Sunday afternoon at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway in California, and will do so from the pole position, with which he is getting very familiar.

Larson also won the pole last week in Michigan, where he captured his second checkered flag of the season. Larson is the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup points leader through 15 races, thanks to those two wins plus a whopping five second-place finishes in 2017.

Larson captured the pole position with a qualifying speed of 95.295 mph on Saturday.

“[Larson is] a superstar that doesn’t act like one. He’s a low-demeanor guy that you want to hang out with,” Fox analyst Michael Waltrip said this week. “You have to see him and understand who he is to be able to appreciate his talent behind the wheel. It’s amazing what he has been able to accomplish.”

Kyle Busch, a two-time winner in Sonoma, starts in fourth position on Sunday. He won this race in 2008 and 2015.

Fox will televise the Toyota/Save Mart 350 beginning at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, with Mike Joy calling the race, joined in the booth by Darrell Waltrip, Jeff Gordon, and Larry McReynolds. The race can be viewed online through Fox Sports Go.
