Brad Keselowski-Kyle Busch rivalry gets heated on Twitter

The animosity between the two former NASCAR champions bubbled over Friday after Kyle Busch took exception with something Brad Keselowski tweeted.

Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch have a long running feud, which added another chapter Friday when the two NASCAR drivers had a heated exchange on Twitter, two days before the start of the Cup Series playoffs at Chicagoland Speedway.

Keselowski drives a Ford and more than once this season he’s voiced his opinion that Toyota has a significant advantage over Chevrolet and Ford, an edge Keselowski believes NASCAR should curb to level the playing field. He did so again Friday after Toyota drivers posted the fastest four speeds in the first practice for Sunday’s playoff opener. That prompted Busch and teammate Denny Hamlin to fire back.

Hamlin, who NASCAR penalized last week after his win at Darlington Raceway, offered his rebuttal to Keselowski:

Cole Pearn, the crew chief for Martin Truex Jr. also chimed in. Truex, who drives a Toyota, won four races and the regular-season points championship.
