NBA Draft 2012: Thomas Robinson Works Out For Wizards

It's the time of year when NBA Draft prospects start working out for individual teams and the Washington Wizards conducted what could ultimately be an important workout on Wednesday. Washington, D.C. native and presumed top-three draft pick Thomas Robinson was at the Wizards' practice facility to strut his stuff for the coaching staff, but the media in attendance wasn't allowed to see much.

Bullets Forever was on the scene and relayed some quotes from Robinson after the workout.

Robinson’s jump shot appears to be a focus of his as he prepares for the draft ... “I just want to keep playing my game. That’s what got me here, and it’s what’s going to keep me here,” he said when asked if his jumper was a point of emphasis for him in these workout. “But if I can hit an open shot, that’ll help once I get into the league. ...That’s not the main focus of my game, but if the ball is thrown to me and I’m open, I want to be able to hit the shot.”

Over at SI.com, Sam Amick has Robinson going No. 2 overall to the Charlotte Bobcats in his most recent mock draft. The Kansas power forward appears to be in contention with Kentucky's Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to be that No. 2 overall pick, and the Wizards might end up stuck with whichever one the Bobcats don't prefer.
