NBA Draft Rumors: John Henson Separating Himself From The Pack

The 2012 NBA Draft lottery is an especially fickle beast, as there are quite a few players that have been unable to separate themselves from the pack. Things are getting a bit clearer following individual teams' group workouts, though, and North Carolina big man John Henson seems to be the most recent beneficiary.

Henson worked out for the Detroit Pistons on Monday and was apparently really, really good. So good, in fact, that ESPN's Chad Ford felt forced to alter his most recent mock draft after hearing the results.

Meyers Leonard occupied this spot for roughly six hours before Henson reclaimed it. Why? Henson, Leonard, Tyler Zeller, Perry Jones, Terrence Jones and Jared Sullinger all worked out in Detroit on Monday and the consensus was that Henson really shined. The Pistons really need a shot-blocker and Henson fits the bill.

It’s unclear what person would be telling Ford that Henson was so outstanding without something to gain from the process, but we’ll trust his judgment if he was willing to alter his entire mock draft.
