San Antonio Spurs big man DeJuan Blair fell out of the rotation during the 2012 NBA Playoffs. Now, he may be looking for a new team. The Spurs are looking to deal Blair to create roster space to bring over past European picks like Erazem Lorbek and others, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
NBA Draft Rumors: Spurs Looking To Trade DeJuan Blair, According To Report
Blair averaged 9.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game during the regular season, but averaged just 7.6 minutes per game in the playoffs and did not even make it into two games. The former 2nd-round pick would welcome a trade out of San Antonio, according to Wojnarowski.
It remains unclear how the Spurs will deal Blair without taking on another player to add to their roster. They could send him somewhere in a salary dump or for a future draft pick if need be, but that’s about the only avenue to make a deal happen under these conditions.
