Celtics To Pick Up Coach’s Son Austin Rivers In NBA Draft?

According to reports, the Boston Celtics are aggressively trying to move up from the bottom half of the first round into the lottery of the 2012 NBA draft. The Celtics currently hold the No. 21 and No. 22 picks but Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated reports that they are looking to move up and land Duke's Austin Rivers, the son of Celtics head coach Doc Rivers:

Sources say Boston’s push to move into the lottery is partly driven by a desire to land Duke’s Austin Rivers, son of Cs coach Doc Rivers. Celtics have the No. 21 and No. 22 picks.

Rivers is considered one of the best shooting guards in this year’s class, just a tier below Bradley Beal. He’s expected to go just outside the top 10 in the second half of the lottery.
