NBA Draft Combine: Measurements Show Thomas Robinson Has Less Questions To Answer

The 2012 NBA Draft Combine is underway in Chicago, giving the top prospects an excellent opportunity to woo all of the decision makers that weren’t able to watch them during the course of the college season. On-court abilities aren’t the only things one has to worry about, which is why the measurements have been getting so much publicity in recent years.

A player can be a dominant force in the college game, but occasionally his skill set is unable to translate to the big leagues due to size -- or more specifically, length -- concerns. This has forced the NBA to go through an increasingly thorough checklist to decide if a player is going to measure up once he reaches the NBA by checking his wingspan, height (with and without socks), hand length, standing reach and nearly everything else that can be measured.

The results of said measurements were released on Friday morning, and courtesy of ESPN's Chad Ford, the two-page list (first, second) is digestible for those of us on the Internet who weren't privy to the information when it was handed out at the Combine. The best news resulting from that list, according to Ford, comes for Kansas Jayhawks big man Thomas Robinson.

Kansas forward Thomas Robinson measured 6-foot-8 3/4 in shoes with a huge 7-3 wingspan. Any concerns teams had about him being undersized for the position will start to melt away after those numbers.

This is good news for Robinson considering he also stood out on the court during the opening day of the Combine.
