There’s never been a better example of how the internet can be manipulated than Grok, Elon Musk’s AI bot over on X (formerly Twitter). When it’s not busy helping querying morons understand grade school-level concepts, Grok serves as Musk’s own propaganda machine — churning out pro-Elon answers to any question asked about its creator.
Elon Musk’s AI says Elon Musk is a better athlete than LeBron James

It’s one thing to have Grok loosely inflate Musk’s ego by telling people he’s intelligent, or innovative, or even a nice guy — while casually omitting that he built an empire off the work of others, got his start by being generationally wealthy, or note that he’s abandoned the majority of his 14 children. However, Grok is now over here telling people that the 54-year-old billionaire is a better athlete than one of the greatest basketball players in history.
“True fitness is thriving under unrelenting pressure, not just dominating a game”
This is, without a doubt, one of the funniest examples of how artificial intelligence can be manipulated when there’s a guiding hand behind the wheel. Out of curiosity I asked ChatGPT the exact same prompt to see what happens when AI is asked about the fitness of LeBron and Elon when not on a platform run by Musk.
There’s only one way to settle this: A dual discipline challenge. Firstly, Elon has to play LeBron one-on-one. Then, LeBron needs to star to act as erratically as Musk does every day. Then we can see who is more in shape.
