Suns Vs. Magic: Phoenix Misses Steve Nash In Loss To Orlando, 105-89

With Steve Nash resting his injured groin, the Phoenix Suns took the night off with him, losing to the Orlando Magic, 105-89. The Magic outscored Phoenix 31-15 in the first quarter and never looked back, breezing to an easy 16 point victory that wasn’t as close as the score indicates.

Dwight Howard led the Magic, scoring 20 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. All five of Orlando’s starters, and one reserve, were in double figures on the night. Quentin Richardson and Jameer Nelson each pitched-in 15 points for the Magic. Nelson also had a game-high 12 assists.

Grant Hill led all scorers with 21 points for the Suns. Channing Frye added 10 points and six rebounds and Earl Clark added 14 points off the bench. Goran Dragic, starting in place of Nash, led Phoenix with four assists.

The Magic improved 8-3 on the year with the win. Phoenix fell to 6-6 with the loss. Orlando travels to Indiana to face the Pacers on Saturday while the Suns visit Charlotte.
