The Memphis Grizzlies nearly blew a five-point lead in the final minute of their game against everyone's least favorite NBA team tonight. When LeBron James dunked off of a Rudy Gay turnover to bring the Miami Heat back to a tie at 95-95 with 5.5 seconds left, it certainly looked like the game was at least headed to overtime.

↵Then Gay atoned for his mistake, quickly and loudly.

↵That’s good defense by LeBron, but better ingenuity and shooting by Gay, who gave Memphis a 97-95 win and got his money’s worth in the celebration after the shot, grilling the Heat bench and reveling in the streamers falling from the ceiling.
↵And it might be justified: for one night, his team was better than one that was anointed as a championship contender in the offseason.
