What’s A Better Name Than ‘The Boston Pops’? The Shaq-Fu Symphony

I go back and forth on Shaq’s whole ZANY routine. On the one hand, it’s pretty obvious he does a lot of this stuff for attention, and people that want or need attention are pretty annoying. On the other hand, anyone who’s comfortable enough to spend a day pretending to be a statue for a day or conduct the Boston Pops orchestra, like he did Monday night... Well, that sounds like someone that’d be pretty awesome to hang out with. So who knows?

And while last night’s performance with the Boston Pops may earn a whole new round of “Shaq is so unpredictable!” stories, he still conducted the Boston Pops. Like, he went to rehearsal and everything. As he said right before the performance:

“Actually you know I have a whole new respect for conductors,” Shaq said before the performance. “Went through a little rehearsal today and my arms are shot right now.”
