Nickey Van Exel, son of former NBA player Nick Van Exel, was arrested on a capital murder charge following the death of his friend, Bradley Bassley Eyo. The two were reportedly playing with a shotgun when it went off, killing Eyo.

After the gun discharged, killing his friend, Van Exel allegedly dumped the body in a nearby lake, apparently panicked by the situation.
Van Exel reportedly told police he was responsible for Eyo’s death, but maintained it was accidental.
