Bulls Vs. Grizzlies: Luol Deng, Derrick Rose Carry Shorthanded Chicago To 96-84 Win

The Chicago Bulls entered their game with the Memphis Grizzlies without their starting frontcourt, as injuries to Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer forced the Bulls to play shorthanded. It didn’t matter. Thanks to Derrick Rose and Luol Deng, the Bulls had no trouble with the Grizzlies, winning 96-84.

The Bulls were comfortably ahead most of the game, but the Grizzlies made a brief rally early in the fourth quarter, scoring eight straight points and cutting the lead to nine at several points. They could get no closer, though, as Deng and Rose put the game away.

Deng ended with 28 points, while Rose added 22 and 12 assists. Kyle Korver came off the bench to score 22 of his own, hitting 8-12 of his shot attempts. Zach Randolph scored 20 for the Grizzlies, but nobody else really came to play. Rudy Gay in particular struggled, hitting just 1-10 from the field. As a team, Memphis shot just 38 percent from the field.
