If tonight’s game between the Spurs and the Celtics is really a potential preview of the NBA Finals, it could be a close series. With about four minutes left to go in the third quarter, the teams were nearly tied, with the Spurs holding a 68-67 lead. Four San Antonio players were in double digits: Tony Parker and Tim Duncan, tied with 14 apiece, and Richard Jefferson with 12 lead the way for the Spurs. Matt Bonner has 10 points. For the Celtics, Ray Allen led with 20 points, Paul Pierce with 19 and Glen Davis with 13.
Spurs Vs. Celtics: Boston, San Antonio In Close Game Late In Third Quarter
The Celtics are shooting better (60 percent to 53 percent) overall, though they’re a bit behind on three-pointers and way back on free throws percentage-wise (5-of-10 compared to 6-of-7). Everything else is, like the score, pretty even. As of now, Gregg Popovich has not pulled his starters.
