Martin’s performance was something incredible, as the seventh-year pro hit 13-18 from the floor and 13-15 from the line. Six of his makes came from behind the three-point line. He ended up scoring 1.82 points per possession, which is fairly despicable and wonderful. Note that if a team takes nothing but two-pointers and never misses, they score 2.0 points per possession. Martin was pretty close to that ideal.
Portland’s win could prove vital in a few months, as it gives the Blazers a tiebreaker advantage over the Rockets. The teams are currently battling over the No. 8 seed in the West.
