When a story surfaces about something unseemly that happens behind closed doors, you wonder about the motives of he who leaked the information. Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald has an amazing anecdote (via Zach Lowe) from the Celtics' playoffs loss to the Miami Heat last May, one that gives a peek into the tension within that roster. But it plainly paints Rajon Rondo, the damned son, in a bad light. Who on the Celtics is trying to paint Rondo in a bad light? Perhaps one of the guys trying to win cover as the All-Star makes his 14th appearance in the rumor mill?
Stories From Rajon Rondo’s Postseason Hulk Session
Regardless, because I am a dutiful blogger, I will share Bulpett’s amazing anecdote.
According to multiple sources, Rondo's errors were being pointed out when he arose and began discussing the mistakes of his teammates. Loudly. Using harsh language.
Coach Doc Rivers got up and fired back, and Rondo threw a bottle that shattered the video screen. He bolted from the practice facility and was prevented from returning when he tried later.
Let's just be glad Jeff Green doesn't react this way when errors are pointed out. Boston may run out of video screens.
