Josh McRoberts has signed with the Lakers, ending one of the great white person teammate friendships in the NBA, between McBob and Tyler Hansbrough.
A Farewell To Bros: The Doomed Bromance Of Josh McRoberts And Tyler Hansbrough
We commemorate the end of an era with a (very) short one-act play. It is based on real life events and endeavors to reflect a warm, personal side of the league contrast against a cold, soulless business.
Bros Being Bros: An Indianapolis Pacers Story
From the day he was selected in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft, Josh McRoberts has been marginalized as an unremarkable -- if athletically gifted -- bench player. But in the visiting locker room at Washington’s Verizon Center in February 2011, I glimpsed the real Josh. A truth-bringing town crier. A man with impeccable timing and brutal charm.
What is Josh McRoberts all about? He’s about a farewell to platitudes. He’s unconcerned with the burden of courtesy and the company line. This will all be revealed in the drama set before you. We hope you laugh, but we also hope you find a lesson about what it means to be a bro, being a bro, to your bro.

We’re in a sparsely furnished visiting locker room as players mill about. Tyler Hansbrough sits in the middle of the room, wearing only navy spandex and eating BBQ ribs while his teammates dress. He’s being interviewed by a reporter and the camera edges toward him to reveal flecks of BBQ sauce all over his face.
Tyler: “... just attacking the rim. That’s what happened tonight at the foul line.”
Reporter: "Coach [Frank Vogel] was just talking about how that’s the new mentality, being relentless, especially around the rim. Has that been more of an emphasis?"
Josh McRoberts: (In a blue-and-black lumberjack shirt and designer jeans, turns from his locker to interject) “He used to be a big p*ssy!”
Tyler: [muffled, uneasy laughter] “Yeah, it’s been an emphasis lately ...”
*fin*
