Despite four games between eight marquee teams earlier in the day of the NBA's season-opening Christmas Day showcase, the matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors might be the most highly anticipated game of them all. The reason, of course, is Chris Paul's official debut alongside Blake Griffin as a member of the suddenly relevant Clippers.
Clippers Vs. Warriors: Game Time, TV Information And More
Chris Paul makes his official Clippers debut against Monta Ellis and the Warriors in Oakland in the final game of the NBA’s Christmas slate of season-opening games.
The Warriors may be without their best player, Stephen Curry, but still pack plenty of exciting scoring punch with Monta Ellis and Dorell Wright, and many are expecting a bounce-back season from David Lee. With new coach Mark Jackson on the bench instead of the mic, there's a renewed emphasis on defense, but this team doesn't appear to have to personnel for that quite yet.
That plays right into the hand of the Clippers, who also aren't filled with defensive-minded players. That won't matter to the millions of viewers who just came to see Lob City, and, if the preseason games against the Lakers were any indication, it's a bustling metropolis, booming with business. There won't be a more entertaining game all day, and it'll be worth staying up late for.
Game Date/Time: Sunday, Dec. 25, 10:30 p.m. ET
Location: Oracle Arena, Oakland, Calif.
TV: ESPN (National)
