Is it any surprise that the first NBA owner to be quoted grousing about a schedule defect caused by the lockout would be the Phoenix Suns' Robert Sarver? Of course not.
NBA Owner Complains About Effects Of Shortened Schedule
Phoenix is the only team that will not have a home game this season against Boston, Chicago, Miami, New York or Orlando.
“I was disappointed for our fans,” Sarver said. “When the preliminary schedule came out, I asked the league to reconsider and they didn’t.”
If only there were a way that NBA owners like Sarver could have guaranteed that every marquee team would visit every NBA city like in a normal 82-game season ...
