Luol Deng scored 24 points to pace the Chicago Bulls in victory over the Charlotte Bobcats 106-94 on Tuesday night. Derrick Rose had an off shooting night, hitting just 5-14 from the floor. But he got to the line and finished with 18 points and 13 assists (and, unfortunately, six turnovers).

Deng outplayed his defensive-minded contemporary Gerald Wallace, who was held to six points on 3-9 shooting. Deng himself shot 10-19 from the floor, and the Bulls got some rare three-pointers to go down. Chicago hit seven of its 14 three-point attempts; the Bulls are No. 10 in the NBA in three-point shooting, but No. 23 in raw attempts from long-range. As you'd expect, success in both categories typically comes with playing time for Kyle Korver. He played 15 minutes against Charlotte, and hit all three of his treys.
Charlotte hit only 2-11 from downtown; the Bobcats are No. 25 in three-point shooting. Their offensive bread-and-butter is opportunistic scoring from Wallace, not-terrible shooting from Stephen Jackson and fast break buckets from D.J. Augustin. But the Bulls are just so good defensively; Augustin was limited to five points in 20 minutes, and Charlotte had to rely on Boris Diaw and Gerald Henderson just to keep it close.
