The 76ers’ earlier desire to move Iguodala was mostly due to his hefty price tag. He has three years and $44 million remaining on his contract after this season, which is a lot for a player many feel is best as a role player on a very good team. The 76ers, though, have played better since he returned from injury earlier in the year and now sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference with a young core that has some upside.
The 76ers are likely to stay quiet as the trade deadline approaches, though they may make a minor move involving the expiring contracts of Jason Kapono and Darius Songaila.
