Celtics Trade Marquis Daniels To Kings
Daniels has the right to veto any trade by virtue of his status as a player on a one-year deal with early Bird rights at stake. It’s unclear whether Boston worked out a deal with Daniels to receive his OK on any move. The trade gets the Sacramento Kings above the league’s salary floor, which is set at 75 percent of the salary cap.

Troy Murphy is still a member of the Golden State Warriors, but with a buyout expected soon, he’ll be free to sign anywhere in the NBA, and it looks like he could be headed for the Boston Celtics.
Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix has already speculated that the Celtics will be going after him, and notes that Troy Murphy has wanted to come to Boston for his entire career. And it would be kind of perfect, wouldn’t it? It was a joke when I asked if the Celtics could replace Luke Harangody with Brian Scalabrine, but in all seriousness, it would be absolutely fantastic if Troy Murphy took his place.

Mary Schitt Boyer was the first to report the deal for the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, and as sad as it sounds, it seems the report is legitimate. Harangody is Haran-gone, and perhaps the most stereotypical Boston Celtic of all time now joins the worst team in the NBA.
