LeBron James had Derrick Rose in his sights, taking on the challenge of guarding the dynamic Chicago Bulls’ guard. James appeared to get the best of Rose for a moment, making a stop on one end while drawing a foul on the other, converting the bucket and free throw to tie the game with under a minute left. But Rose and Luol Deng had other ideas, setting up a thrilling finish.

Rose had James on the isolation play with under 30 seconds to go, driving the lane and dishing to a wide-open Deng in the corner. Deng delivered, hitting the corner three to put the Bulls up three with 16 seconds to go.
On the other end, James tried to answer, putting up an off-balance, fade-away three for the tie with just about 10 seconds left. His wild shot barely hit rim, with Rose grabbing the rebound. Kyle Korver hit one of two free throws to stretch the lead to four, putting the game out of reach. When it was all over, the Bulls had a 93-89 win, thanks in large part to Rose’s efforts.
Rose finished with 26 points, five rebounds and six assists. Deng finished with a double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Carlos Boozer added 16 points.
Dwyane Wade had a team-high 34 points for the Heat, with LeBron James adding 29 points and 10 rebounds. Chris Bosh was missing in action, scoring just seven points and grabbing nine rebounds. Mario Chalmers finished with 12 points.
The Bulls improved to 39-17 with the win while the Heat fell to 42-16.
