Kobe Bryant may not be lighting up the score board, but he is having an incredibly balanced game. At the half, Bryant has sixes across the board, finishing the first 24 minutes with six points, six rebounds and six assists. The Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs are still locked in a tight battle despite Bryant’s strong effort, tied at 42 at the break.

Bryant took care of the six assists in the first quarter and hasn’t had another since. Instead, he was active on the boards in the second quarter, boosting his total to six while only scoring two points in the frame. Pau Gasol leads the way for the Lakers with 10 points thus far. Ron Artest has seven, with Lamar Odom adding six and Steve Blake adding five off the bench.
For the Spurs, it’s still the Richard Jefferson show. After scoring 10 points in the first quarter, he cooled off in the second, finishing the half with 12 points. Manu Ginobili has seven points and Tim Duncan six. Duncan also had a team-high six rebounds in the half, with Antonio McDyess adding five rebounds off the bench.
After the Spurs took a four point lead into the second quarter, the Lakers knotted it back up at the end of the frame in a back-and-forth battle thus far. At the half, we’re tied at 42 at Staplse Center.
