Lakers Vs. Grizzlies: Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol Share As L.A. Escapes Memphis
Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol scored 19 and 17 points respectively as the L.A. Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 93-84 on Monday. L.A.‘s defense was lovely, holding Memphis below 40 percent from the floor and refusing to foul much. The Grizzlies had just 17 free throw attempts, with Zach Randolph and Rudy Gay earning four each.
Despite all the Grizzlies’ misses, L.A. did a fairly good job keeping Z-Bo and Marc Gasol off of the offensive glass. Randolph is the league’s best offensive rebounder among regular players, and he had three o-boards in 40 minutes. He also shot just 2-14 and had four turnovers. It wasn’t a great night for Zach Randolph.
