The Clippers lead the Magic at the end of the first quarter, thanks to some evenly-distributed scoring from the starters. They were led by Baron Davis who shot a perfect 2-2 from the field and 2-2 from the free throw line for six points. Just behind him with five points was the monster Blake Griffin, whose first shot of the night was, of course, a dunk.
Clippers Vs. Magic: Dwight Howard Is A Rebounding Fool, & Blake Griffin Can Dunk
The Orlando Magic are naturally relying heavily on Dwight Howard who leads his team at the end of the quarter with six points and already 10 rebounds. The Magic only went 1-7 from three point land in the quarter, but it's doubtful that they'll stay that cold for long, since the three-ball is their bread and butter.
Lowlight of the first quarter? JJ Redick getting his ankles broken on a fake by Randy Foye. He literally fell over backwards. Highlight? On the ensuing possession, Dwight Howard getting an alleyoop from Jameer Nelson for some weird yet impressive dunk.
