The Boston Celtics held the Milwaukee Bucks to a franchise record low for points in a 87-56 finish at the TD Banknorth Garden. Boston set a record for fewest points allowed, too; for comparison's sake, the Nuggets are averaging 53 points per half this season. Milwaukee's offense is awful, and the Celtics' incredible defense made it look even worse.

The Bucks shot just 31 percent from the floor, committed 18 turnovers, hit just nine of 15 free throws and captured just six offensive rebounds in 46 opportunities. There was literally nothing good that Milwaukee did on offense, and unfortunately, that’s not rare. The Celtics, meanwhile, were hardly models of offensive excellence, but got the job done by a magnificent margin.
Ray Allen led Boston with 17 points; no Celtic played so many as 30 minutes. Boston used the opportunity to check out free agent pickups who round out the Celtics bench. Carlos Arroyo had six assists in 25 minutes, and Troy Murphy scored 12 points in 17 minutes.
Earl Barron was Milwaukee's high scorer with 10. He was the last Buck off of the bench, not entering until the fourth quarter.
