The San Antonio Spurs lost their first game without injured point guard and No. 2 scorer Tony Parker, as the Memphis Grizzlies triumphed 109-93. The Spurs were bad almost universally; one player, Gary Neal (14), hit double figures as Gregg Popovich leaned on his bench early. George Hill, Parker's replacement, shot 2-6 and had four assists to six turnovers.

Meanwhile, Zach Randolph and Darrell Arthur were kings of the offensive glass, earning nine between them. Z-Bo had a pretty wonderful game, with 21 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals. Arthur had 21 and eight off the bench, and Tony Allen added 20 on 8-9 shooting.
Should San Antonio panic? Does one loss mean anything? The team did just fine during Parker's extended March absence a year ago, and there's no reason to think Hill will continue to stink in the starting line-up; he's maybe the league's best No. 2 point guard, and he's played well all season. The schedule has some tough draws coming up (Miami twice, Lakers and Mavericks once each), but the Spurs were universally bad against Memphis after being universally good most of the year. No reason to panic.
