Wilson Chandler only scored eight points, but his jumper in the final minute put the Denver Nuggets ahead for good in a 115-112 victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
Spurs Vs. Nuggets Final Score: Denver Steals 115-112 Victory From San Antonio
In a game where the teams combined to make 25 three-pointers, Manu Ginobili missed the two most important tries for San Antonio in the last 13 seconds.
He was off-target on a step-back three from the right side that could have given the Spurs the lead, and he airballed a last-second try with Kenyon Martin in his face.
San Antonio, playing without injured star Tim Duncan, lost for only the second time in eight games and saw its lead for No. 1 in the Western Conference trimmed to six games over the idle Lakers.
Al Harrington scored 27 points off the bench to lead the Nuggets, who remained four games behind Oklahoma City for the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference despite winning for the sixth time in eight games.
