While it was a back-and-forth contest during the fourth quarter, neither the New York Knicks nor the Olrando Magic were able to come up with the lead at the end of regulation. The teams tied at 100 as they head into overtime. Carmelo Anthony, who has 36 points, received the ball with five seconds left and a chance to win the game. Orlando sent three players to guard Anthony, who missed the initial shot. He then picked up the rebound and missed another shot.

Dwight Howard had a defensive goal tending late to give the Knicks a 100-97 lead, but Jason Richardson hit the game-tying three-point shot with five seconds left on the clock. Gilbert Arenas finally made successful field goals in the fourth quarter to help bring the Magic back into the game.
