The Orlando Magic couldn’t build off the momentum from Thursday night’s impressive comeback win over the Miami Heat, falling to the Chicago Bulls on Friday night, 89-81. The Magic got a double-double from Dwight Howard (20 points, 10 rebounds), but had no answer for the Derrick Rose show. Rose finished with 24 points, four rebounds and four assists as the Bulls put together a balanced attack to drop the Magic.

Rose was joined in double-figures by Luol Deng, 16 points, Carlos Boozer, 12 points, and Kyle Korver, 10 points. Omar Asik had a team-high 13 rebounds off the bench, with Boozer adding a nine rebounds and Joakhim Noah pitching in seven boards. Ronnie Brewer had four assists off the bench, as well.
Jason Richardson and Brandon Bass each finished with 16 points for the Magic, complimenting Howard’s team-high 20. Jameer Nelson was also in double-figures with 14 points. Nelson had a team-high six assists, with Ryan Anderson and Richardson each adding five rebounds.
The Bulls improved to 42-18 with the win while the Magic fell to 40-23 with the loss.
