LeBron James didn’t get to take a night off a la his Boston Celtics rivals, instead playing until the final horn in the Miami Heat’s 98-90 win over the Atlanta Hawks. The Miami win was in hand until late in the third quarter, when Atlanta’s bench went on a tear, eventually achieving a tie score with just minutes to go.
Heat Vs. Hawks Score: LeBron James Forced To Play 42 Minutes In Miami Win
James ended up with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, but didn’t have an excellent fourth quarter. As is custom, James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh ended up with all but 30 or so Miami points, as the three combined for 70.
Weirdest moment of the game: Zydrunas Ilgauskas was ejected in the fourth after pegging Zaza Pachulia in the back of the head with the ball, reminiscent of LeBron’s own dodgeball moment on Sunday. Pachulia’s offense appeared to be an errant elbow while taking the ball in for a layup, though the big man has been known to get under the skin of opponents with ease.
