We're used to dirty plays in football at the bottom of the pile. When attempting to secure a loose ball, players will scratch, claw, kick, spit and otherwise try to inflict bodily harm, all under the cloak of a pile of bodies. But in basketball, where everything is out in the open? Well that's just uncommon -- at least until Tuesday night's game between the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks.
VIDEO: Ronnie Brewer Hand-Checked By Anthony Carter
Keep a close eye on the video below, provided by Bubba Prog. As Ronnie Brewer dives for the loose ball, Anthony Carter digs in for something else, leaving Brewer squealing in surprise.
That ain’t right at all. At least buy the man dinner first, and don’t do it in front of a packed house and multiple television cameras. Sure, it was probably a slip, but it just isn’t a good look for Carter.
The irony here is Brewer was forced to leave the game with a sprained thumb later. You’d think it’d be Carter spraining his thumb on the play, wouldn’t you?
