PHOTO: Derek Fisher Huddles With Kings After Final Game In Sacramento
There were lots of powerful moments at the end of the Kings' 116-108 loss to the Lakers in what could have been the final game in Sacramento. Many of those moments are chronicled here, and more will be displayed below the jump. But none sticks out to me more than Derek Fisher huddling with Kings players at center court after the game.
It’s possible that Fisher, the head of the NBA Players’ Association, was simply talking to the players because it was his last chance to do so before a potential NBA lockout. Given the situation, though, it’s still an iconic image because of the games Fisher and the Lakers have played in Arco Arena over the years.
Kings fans followed this up by remaining in their seats for an hour after the game, as coaches and players alike addressed them. Today, we are all Kings fans. More images below the jump.
