The Indiana Pacers got off to a fast start, jumping out to a 10-4 lead thanks to Roy Hibbert and a couple of Chicago turnovers. Chicago came back to tie the game at 13-13 before a strong push from Darren Collison had the Pacers in front by a score of 21-15. The Bulls narrowed the gap some but still trailed after one by a score of 27-23.

While everyone came into this series focused on Derrick Rose, Indiana’s point guard Darren Collison has gotten off to a very good start with 10 first quarter points and two assists. Roy Hibbert made his presence felt with eight points and five rebounds including four on the offensive glass.
Rose leads the Bulls with 11 points, while Carlos Boozer chipped in eight. Both teams are experiencing some foul difficulties as Paul George and Brandon Rush each picked up two for the Pacers. Carlos Boozer also has two personals for Chicago.
Offensive rebounds and a penetrating offensive attack has played a big part in Indiana’s early lead.
