After the first quarter in the playoffs for the Miami Heat’s vaunted Big Three, it’s looking like things will come a little less easily than expected. The 76ers lead the Heat 31-19 after one quarter in Miami.
Heat Vs. 76ers Score: Miami Down 31-19 After First Quarter As Philly Pounds Paint
Elton Brand has been a difference-maker for the Sixers, getting 11 points on five-of-seven shooting to lead all scorers. He’s also helped limit Chris Bosh to just two points for Miami.
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade haven’t quite picked up the slack, either. They’ve combined to make just one of four shots and score five points. Mike Bibby leads the Heat with eight points, and has sunk two threes.
Things might change in the second quarter now that Andre Iguodala’s two fouls have necessitated his benching. Evan Turner will likely be tasked with guarding James in that period.
