The Portland Trail Blazers were supposed to be the underdog most likely to score an upset in the first round of the 2011 NBA Playoffs. So far, the Dallas Mavericks seem disinclined to let that happen.
Mavericks Vs. Blazers Score: Dallas Holds 47-37 Lead At Halftime
Dallas leads 47-37 at halftime, behind 11 points from Jason Kidd. The Mavs’ veteran point guard leads all scorers, and has made three threes through two quarters. Dirk Nowitzki has added eight points for Dallas, but has made just four of 12 shots; nine Mavericks have scored.
In contrast, Portland’s offense so far has been LaMarcus Aldridge, Andre Miller, and little else. Those two have combined for 25 points; the rest of the Blazers’ roster has 12 points combined, and has made just five of its 15 shots from the field.
The Blazers have also been charitable on offense, giving Dallas eight turnovers.
