Knicks Vs. Celtics Score: Paul Pierce Leads Boston To 24-23 Lead After One

Mike D’Antoni has to be happy to only be trailing by one point after losing Carmelo Anthony to early four trouble just a minute into the game. Anthony picked up two quick fouls in the opening minutes of the first quarter and spent the remainder of the quarter on the bench for the Knicks.

Boston failed to capitalize as Bill Walker came off the bench to score seven points for the Knicks in Anthony’s absence. Amare Stoudemire has six for Knicks who trailed by one, 24-23 after one.

Paul Pierce led the way for the Celtics with eight early points. Rajon Rondo has six while Kevin Garnett has four points and four rebounds for Boston.

Boston will no doubt look to attack Anthony in an effort to try and get him to pick up his third foul which would send him to the bench again for the remainder of the half.
