The Miami Heat took care of the Philadelphia 76ers early in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series, as LeBron James' 29 points, seven rebounds and six assists led the way in the 94-73 wire-to-wire drubbing.
Heat Vs. 76ers: Sixers Fans Try To Keep Faith Despite Being Down 0-2
It was the kind of loss that can demoralize not only a team but a fanbase as well. Sixers blog Liberty Ballers felt that pain in their chest tonight and can only come with a loss this frustrating:
Each sport has a unique kind of frustration behind each loss. Football frustration goes right to your biceps. Baseball frustration stays in your hands. Hockey frustration camps out in your eyes. But basketball frustration is the worst of them all. It sits right in your chest. Festering like a virus. Crawling through your bloodstream and into your appendages. It gets in your mouth, you taste it. And there's nothing you can do. When the Heat jumped out to an early lead on the Sixers, it nested. Then it grew at halftime and expanded over the third quarter until it was incorrigible.
For the sake of all 76ers fans, hopefully the team can make a series of it in Game 3. If LeBron keeps playing this way, that’s easier said than done.
