Paul Allen Uses Memoir To Criticize Former Blazers GMs

Blazer's Edge dug into Paul Allen's new memoir Idea Man -- on shelves today! -- to see if the billionaire Microsoft co-founder had anything interesting to say about his hobby of owning the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers. As it turns out, he does!

↵↵Allen says that former GM Kevin Pritchard “had a good gut for gauging young talent” but that he “struggled in the managerial parts of his job.”

↵↵This coming from the guy who fired Pritchard hours before the NBA Draft, only the biggest day of the year for GMs. Also, Allen claims he turned down a Clyde Drexler-for-Hakeem Olajuwon trade in the early ‘90s because he was too close a friend with The Glide. I vote that we pretend Allen never said that, and that we move on with our lives.
