Amar'e Stoudemire has joined Chauncey Billups on the sidelines due to back spasms that knocked him out of Game 2, but the New York Knicks are down just 74-67 to the Boston Celtics heading into the fourth quarter. Carmelo Anthony leads all scorers with 30 points on 10-22 shooting and seven free throw in eight attempts. Stoudemire scored just four points on 2-9 shooting before leaving in the second quarter.

Anthony is the only Knick in double-figures. Toney Douglas, Billups' replacement, has been active, but is shooting just 3-11 and has been burned on defense by Rajon Rondo repeatedly. Rondo has 22 points, six assists and four turnovers through three quarters. He's been kept under better control since the first quarter, but the extra attention New York has been forced to heap on the point guard has opened up lanes for Paul Pierce and space for Ray Allen.
Allen has 18 points on eight shots for Boston. Pierce has 16 points, and Kevin Garnett has six assists.
