Hornets Vs. Lakers, Final Score: Team Effort Powers Los Angeles Win In Game 2

Kobe Bryant only scored 11 points and garnered a technical foul in Game 2 of the Lakers series with the Hornets Wednesday night. However the Lakers got what they needed from him and his teammates took care of the rest in Los Angeles’ 87-78 win over the Hornets to even the series 1-1.

Andrew Bynum was the star of the night for the Lakers, scoring 17 points and grabbing 11 rebounds before fouling out. LA also got strong efforts from Lamar Odom (16 points, 7 rebounds) and Ron Artest (15 points).

For the Hornets, Chris Paul scored 20 and added 9 assists but remained in relative check most of the night. Trevor Ariza led New Orleans with 22 points and Carl Landry added 12.

The Hornets shot 39% on the evening, compared to LA’s 45%.

The series now shifts to New Orleans for Game 3, which will take place on April 22nd at 9:30 p.m. ET.
