On Friday night, the Celtics’ Paul Pierce and Ray Allen have found their shots. Halfway through Boston’s Game 3 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs, they lead the Knicks by a 52-44 score.

After scoring 14 points in the first quarter, Pierce hung back in the second, and heads into halftime with 17. Ray Allen has drained four of six three-point attempts to score 16 points in the first half. In total, the Celtics are shooting 42.5 percent from the field. More importantly, they’re dominating the rebound battle, having taken down 22 as compared to the Knicks’ 13.
For the Knicks, Carmelo Anthony is off to a somewhat slow start. While he does have 12 points at halftime, he’s only 4-for-12 from the field, and he’s committed four turnovers. Amar’e Stoudemire, in his return to action, is only 1-for-5 with three points. More critically, he’s been held to only a single rebound.
