Amar’e Stoudemire is on the floor for the New York Knicks in their Game 4 against the Boston Celtics. But that’s not going to be enough if Rajon Rondo keeps taking big bites of the Big Apple.
Celtics Vs. Knicks Score: Rajon Rondo Has Boston Leading, 29-23, After First Quarter
Rondo tore up the Knicks’ defense in the first quarter, scoring nine points and dishing five assists to help stake the Celtics to a 29-23 lead after the first period. For a player Mike D’Antoni slammed before the game as a product of his teammates, that’s certainly a good start.
For the Knicks, the Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Show appears to be the featured attraction, as ever. But only one is lighting anything up so far: Anthony had 15 first quarter points to lead all scorers, while Stoudemire missed all six of his shots and had just one point in the first 12 minutes.
