Lakers Vs. Hornets Score: Los Angeles Leads New Orleans At Halftime, 40-34

The Los Angeles Lakers' big men, Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom, have led the team to a 40-34 halftime lead over the New Orleans Hornets. Bynum leads the team with 12 points, and that mostly a result of his being around the offensive board for the first half. Five of his seven rebounds have come off the offensive glass. He's made six of his nine shots so far. Odom has five points, but he's grabbed five boards and dished the ball out for four assists.

The Hornets' Chris Paul has been quiet with just two points so far on 1-of-2 shooting. He has, however, pulled down four boards and given the ball out for four assists. Carl Landry leads the team with eight points.

If the Lakers can keep Paul down for the second half, they’ll be moving on to the second round.
