Through three quarters at the Staples Center, it’s still not clear whether the Lakers or Nuggets are clear about this concept of offense in basketball. But it’s making for a fairly compelling game now. The teams ended the third quarter with the score tied at 69.
Nuggets Vs. Lakers Score: Kobe Bryant Leading Los Angeles In Close Game Through Three Quarters
Kobe Bryant leads all scorers with 24 points, and has minimally improved his poor shooting: after struggling mightily early, he’s now made eight of 20 shots.
Two other Lakers are in double figures: Pau Gasol has 14 points and Lamar Odom has chipped in 13 points off the bench. Andrew Bynum has been a workhorse on the glass, snagging 16 rebounds through three quarters.
For the Nuggets, it’s been Danile Gallinari leading the way. The Italian forward, acquired from the New York Knicks in the trade that sent Carmelo Anthony to the Big Apple, leads Denver with 22 points.
Kenyon Martin (13 points) and Nene (11 points) are both in double figures as well.
