Chad Ford Of ESPN Releases NBA Mock Draft, Gives Cavaliers Kyrie Irving, Enes Kanter

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in line to pick up Kyrie Irving and Enes Kanter with their two top-four picks, according to the first post-lottery NBA Mock Draft by ESPN's Chad Ford. Ford reports on the draft year-round; he is essentially the basketball version of Mel Kiper or Todd McShay for ESPN. He has had Irving atop his draft board all year, though recently suggested Kanter, the Turkish center who tried to play at Kentucky but was ruled ineligible by the NCAA, could bump the Duke guard.

In this scenario, Cleveland gets them both. Ford has the Utah Jazz picking up Kentucky guard Brandon Knight at No. 3 overall, after the Minnesota Timberwolves take Derrick Williams off the board, as expected. Kemba Walker, the UConn guard and Final Four Most Oustanding Player, falls all the way to No. 7 (Sacramento Kings) in Ford's mock; DraftExpress, by comparison, has Walker going No. 3 and Kanter falling to No. 8 (Detroit Pistons). Those two players seem like the biggest question marks in terms of draft range up high; Kanter's problems are compounded by the fact he's apparently unwilling to work out against other players.
