The Chicago Bulls were unable to carry over the momentum from Luol Deng's three-pointer to end the first quarter, but they are down by only two points to the Miami Heat at halftime, 48-46. The Heat were down seven entering the second quarter, but LeBron James and Dwyane Wade finished the half with a combined 31 points.

James and Wade each made 6-of-9 shots from the field to help the Heat shoot 51.5 percent from the field. The Bulls, on the other hand, missed their first nine shots of the game and are shooting just 37.8 percent. Luol Deng is the only Bulls scorer in double digits with 11 points. Derrick Rose is right behind him with nine points and four rebounds (three offensive).
While the Bulls held an early rebounding edge, the Heat began to pull down boards in the second quarter to even that category at 20 apiece. Yet, Chicago took advantage in the first quarter when they grabbed seven offensive rebounds. Fouls have evened out as well, 14 for each team.
